Database management

The Databases tab provides a centralized view of all databases configured in the system and access to database-level actions. Use the Databases tab to monitor database status, review storage usage, and manage database operations.

Only users with the IPHA_SysAdmin role can access the Databases tab.

Creating a new database

  1. On the Infor Population Health Analytics web interface, open the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Settings > Databases.
  3. Click New.
  4. Specify a name for the new database. The name must be unique across all databases, including deleted ones.
  5. Optionally, provide a description for the database.
  6. Click Save.

Purging data from the internal FHIR store

Before you proceed, ensure that no pipeline is currently running.

  1. On the Infor Population Health Analytics web interface, open the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Settings > Databases.
  3. Select a database entry.
  4. Click Purge.
  5. Specify purge.
  6. Click Ok.

Deleting a database

Deletion is available for active databases except in these cases:

  • MAIN database
  • Default database
  • Databases with Space Used not equal to 0
  • Databases used by launched or queued pipelines
  1. On the Infor Population Health Analytics web interface, open the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Settings > Databases.
  3. Select a database entry.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Specify delete.
  6. Click Ok.

Setting a database to read-only

Setting a database to read-only is available for active databases only.
  1. On the Infor Population Health Analytics web interface, open the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Settings > Databases.
  3. Select a database entry.
  4. Click Set read only.
  5. Click Ok.
    Note: If you launch a load pipeline using a read-only database, this message is displayed: Database is read-only, for calculate only.

Setting a default database

When you set a database as the default, the database becomes the default selection when launching a new pipeline and any previously set default database is unset.

The default option is available to active databases only.

  1. On the Infor Population Health Analytics web interface, open the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Settings > Databases.
  3. Select a database entry.
  4. Click Set as default.
  5. Click Ok.
A default database cannot be deleted unless another database is set as the default.

Showing deleted databases

  1. On the Infor Population Health Analytics web interface, open the left navigation panel.
  2. Select Settings > Databases.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon.
  4. Click Show deleted databases.
