Receiving emails for exceptions

You can configure ION to send an email in specific exception situations.

  1. Select Configuration > Error reporting.
  2. Select one of these check boxes when an email must be sent:
    An Error BOD occurs:
You want to receive an email if an Error Message was created, either by one of the connection points or by the ION Service.
A document is published having no routing defined:
You want to receive an email if a message is published by a connection point, but there is no place to send this document to. In other words, no document flow is defined for this BOD, and no event monitor or workflow activation policy is active for this document.
A message was published having a size too large to be processed by ION
An email is sent if ION did not process a message because its size was significantly larger than the licensed limit.
  3. Specify the email address of the person who must receive the emails. To specify several email addresses, use a semicolon or a comma separator.
Note: The SMTP server and the 'from' email address that are pre-configured by the system administrator are used when sending these emails.

You can use your own SMTP service to handle these emails. To make use of this, contact Infor Support to have this configured for you.
