Backup

A backup strategy is an overall data management plan. It is necessary to understand how important the data is to the function of an organization.

  1. Stop your Infor Document Management application. This ensures that the metadata in the database and the files will be in sync for your backup.
  2. Create a backup of your database. See the documentation for your database for more information.
  3. Create a backup of your files. The files are located in the Files Root folder, as specified in the application properties in the Grid Management Pages. To create a backup simply make a copy of the subfolder called "mainFiles". If you want a larger backup including image conversions and cached data, copy the entire Files Root folder.‌
  4. Start your Infor Document Management application.
