Running the sample project

To run the sample project:

  1. Download and install NetBeans.
  2. Start NetBeans.
  3. Download the WFExit.zip file from ION Desk. Do not unpack the WFExit.zip file.
  4. Import the WFExit.zip file into NetBeans. The WorkflowExit project is now created. For additional instructions, see the README file.
  5. If required, modify the implementation in the WorkflowExit.java class in the project.
  6. Run the project. By default the project runs in Tomcat, but you can use a different server such as GlassFish.
  7. In ION Desk, model the workflow exit point activity in your workflow definition and activate the workflow definition. For more information on modeling and testing a workflow exit point, see below.
    Note:
    • The sample shows how you can implement your own workflow exit point. The sample is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Infor does not guarantee the success you might have in implementing a workflow exit point based on this sample. We recommend that you test the code thoroughly before relying on it.
    • To use the sample project with GlassFish, ensure that the METRO 2.0 check box is cleared in the Compile-time Libraries panel. This figure shows an example:
