Languages

You need to define the languages in the library server if you have to set up your system for users who speak different languages and also provide translated display names.

You must specify a language code if you plan to translate text from one language to another. A language code is a three-character code that can be used to display attributes or item types in multiple national languages. When you specify a language code, you also need to enter the equivalent word in that language.

Several pages/windows in the IBM DB2 CM System Administration Client have Display Name fields that have a Translate button next to them mainly to translate the languages in the required languages.

All languages must be registered in IBM DB2 CM.

Some languages are supplied with IBM DB2 Content Manager and most M3 languages are supplied with IDM, if you are still missing your language(s) you need to add them.
