Purge in progress
The purge runs in
the background. You can follow the status of the purge in the Purge Results section.
Select a time interval in the Automatic update field, to receive the updated purge progress information automatically. An indication of the time required to finish the purge is supplied. To increase the purge speed, click the ; note that this requires more resources from the ION server and database. If the performance decreases, click the to decrease the purge speed.
To interrupt the purge, click
. The page shows an indication that the last purge was interrupted. You can restart the purge as you would start a regular purge.When the purge is in progress, any subsequent triggers that may be started by the scheduler are skipped. The Purge Data page is disabled except the button, , and the Automatic update field.
Note:
- The speed configuration only applies to the Handled Confirm BODs. If you did not select the Handled ConfirmBODs check box, increasing or decreasing the speed does not impact the purging process.
- If more than one type is being purged, the purge page can indicate that for the type not yet in process the instances to be purged are 0 (zero). This is updated automatically when the purge for that type starts.
- In the Log tab you can view the recent purge history up to the previous 100 purge executions.
- When a simulate is not possible, "
n.a
." is shown in the results table against that category. - You cannot select the order, in which the data is purged: newest or oldest. The data is selected randomly by the system.
- When the purge process is aborted, you can try to use smaller chunks of data.
