ION sanity check
In case you have indications that there are issues with the ION deployment, we recommend that you check ION in this order:
- Open the Infor ION Grid Management pages.
-
Consider these statuses:
- The status of each host, system node and application node must be OK. If the node status is OK it means that from an Infor ION Grid perspective the node is up and running. Be aware that for several node types it is possible that not all functionality is loaded, even if the node status is OK.
- The status of each application must be OK. In case an application status is not OK an exclamation mark is shown next to the application name. You can hover over that exclamation mark to get details about the modules that are not functional.
-
Consider these log files:
From this view you can open the log file of each running node. Click the log symbol in the Log column. To view the log files of earlier instances, click the node name. It will offer you the option to view all log files and also adjust log levels.
- Application node log files.
For example the ION Desk DeskNode log file. Check these log files in case of errors or warnings or when the status of the node is not OK.
- System log files.
For example Registry or Agent. System log files provide information about the execution of the grid components that are responsible for managing the application nodes. In case a node is not running, which is expected to be available, the Agent log file can be verified on if and when the grid tried to start the node.
- Application node log files.
