Configuration Files tab
On the Configuration Files tab you can find these sections:
-
- Font for reporting
- With the reporting feature you can create PDF reports with the history of
user actions for tasks and alerts. A prerequisite for this feature is to
upload the font Arial Unicode MS to the ION Server. This font is licensed.
You can purchase the font from Microsoft, see http://www.microsoft.com.
In ION Desk, click the tab.
In the Font for reporting section, click then to upload the font file. If the file was already uploaded, then it is overwritten.
The font Arial Unicode MS is supported to guarantee that multibyte characters are displayed correctly. There is no validation that the file is the correct font. If the font is missing, then an error message is displayed when you try to generate a report.
You can also use the open source “Kurinto” fonts. The Kurinto fonts work with the PDF reports generated by ION. The fonts are not redistributed with ION. The fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License Version 1.1. You are responsible to download and use on your own accord subject to the open source license conditions of Kurinto fonts.
For instructions on how to package these fonts for use within ION see Import Kurinto Fonts into ION.
-
- Certificate Store
- When secured external URLs are contacted from ION, for example, from the web service connection
point or from an Infor Cloud
connection point. The public key is automatically retrieved by ION to connect to the service when
you load the WSDL. The certificate is verified if it is trusted in
ION.
If the certificate is already trusted by a CA, such as Verisign, then access to the URL is allowed by ION. If the certificate is self-signed or is not trusted, then ION alerts the user from where the trigger to contact the external URL was made. This can be when clicking in an Infor Cloud connection point or clicking of the web service connection point.
To check the authenticity of the certificate you can choose to trust the certificate or the issuer or both. Accordingly you can choose whether to download the certificate of the server you are calling or the issuer.
Note that the only SSL server certificates which are supported by ION are X.509.v3 certificates.
After you downloaded the certificate, inspected it and are satisfied with the authenticity of the certificate you can import it into ION's trust store:
- Click the
- A window is displayed. Browse to the location of your certificate and select it.
- Click .
- The certificate is now imported into ION and you can continue working with the external URL
-
- Custom database drivers / Custom JMS Client libraries
-
If you are using the Infor application connection point with a database vendor that is not supported. You can upload the JDBC driver of your vendor into ION. Use a bundle wrapper program from the "Custom database drivers" section.
Using the Message queue connection point as a client and wanting to connect to a JMS vendor is not supported. You require a different bundle wrapper program. Download this program from the "Custom JMS Libraries" section.
This bundle wrapper program generates the deployment bundle of your dynamic JDBC driver/ JMS client library. After a bundle is generated you can upload it to the ION Service using the button. You can also remove an existing bundle when it is not used by any connection point. Note that when you remove an existing bundle, the ION Service is restarted. This results in a temporary outage of ION until the service is started again.
See the Infor ION Development Guide. on how to use the Wrapper program.

- E-mail Templates
- The ION Pulse engine can send
email notifications for tasks, alerts and notifications. ION Pulse engine uses a pre-defined
set of templates for these e-mails.
You can customize these templates.
-
- Download Scripts
- If you are connecting to ION
using the Infor Application
connection point, you must create in-box and outbox tables in your
database. To download the scripts to generate the I/O box:
- Click .
- Download a zip file to a folder of your choice.
- Extract the zip file to a folder of your choice.
- This zip file contains two
folders namely 1.0 and
3.0. The folder
1.0 contains the
scripts to create a base I/O box for the standard db vendors
that ION is tested
with. This includes: MS SQL server, Oracle, DB2, DB2400 and
MySQL.
The folder 3.0 contains the scripts required to prepare your I/O box to support multiple logical IDs sharing the same I/O box
- For Unicode compatible BOD header fields, you can use the scripts available in the Unicode folder.
