Message statuses
A task or alert message can have these statuses:
Status | Description |
---|---|
New | A new message is created and it is not assigned to anybody yet. It is visible to all the users in the distribution list. |
Unassigned | The task or alert is visible to all the users in the distribution list and is waiting to be assigned. |
Assigned | The task or alert is visible only to the assignee who can perform actions on it. |
Finished |
The task or alert is closed by the user who received it by clicking . You can use other custom action buttons such as , , or . Closed items are not visible to users in Infor Inbox lists of messages. |
Canceled |
A task or alert is canceled by an administrator. Additionally, a task is canceled because the workflow instance was canceled. Canceled items are not visible to users in in Infor Inbox lists of messages. |
Tasks and alerts that are open can have these properties:
Status | Description |
---|---|
Escalated | The configuration of the Escalation and Reminders properties of a monitor from Event Management or a workflow determines when an escalated task or alert becomes visible to additional users. An escalation indicator is shown in the user interface to mark items that are escalated. |
Delegated | A delegated task or alert is visible to the user who is selected as the delegate when you turn Out of Office on and set the Out of Office Start Time in the Infor Ming.le User Profile. There is no indicator in the user interface to mark delegated activities. |
A notification message can have these statuses:
Status | Description |
---|---|
New | A new notification message is created, and a copy is sent to each user in the distribution list. |
Done | Each user who has received the notification has closed it by clicking Done. | in the Inbox application or Task List widget. Notifications that have reached the configured expiration date are automatically set to status
Canceled | The notification was canceled by an administrator or because the workflow instance was canceled. |

To view the tasks, alerts, and notifications with all statuses and sent to any, the system administrator can use
or .From the Activities page, the system administrator can redistribute an alert or task to a different distribution list. From the Activities page and from the Archived Activities page, the administrator can generate audit reports about all the actions taken for the selected activities.
