Alert and task escalation and reminders
This configuration is available when you model monitors and workflows in
and .See the Infor ION User Guide for details.
When a task or alert is escalated, the distribution list is extended to the manager or managers of all users in the distribution list, or the additional users who are configured in the escalation event. All these users see the escalated alerts and tasks in their Inbox with a red vertical bar and the label Escalated.
If the escalation was configured to several levels of management, a count of management levels who have received the escalation is shown. All users in the distribution list receive an email about the task or alert being escalated, if the option to send email is enabled by the system administrator in the ION configuration screen for Pulse Engine.
A reminder is an email notification sent to the current distribution list, or to an extended distribution list. The reminder informs these users about the task or alert due date. Reminders can be configured only for alerts or tasks that have a due date and can be set to an interval of time before or after the due date. Users receive a reminder email only if the option to send email is enabled by the system administrator in the ION configuration screen for Pulse Engine. The users who have received a reminder email can see the task or alert in Infor Inbox only if they are part of the original task or alert distribution list.
When you are a manager and you receive escalations of tasks and alerts of your team members, you can create delegation rules for these tasks and alerts. The escalated tasks and alerts will become visible to your delegate during your absence. You cannot delegate escalated tasks and alerts only.
