Tasks
A task is an activity that must be completed within a defined period of time.
When the task is generated by Workflow, it suspends the execution of the workflow until the task is completed. When a task is completed, the user's response is sent back to Workflow to resume execution of the workflow.
One task can be sent to one or more users. Additionally, each user from the distribution list can close a task. Parallel tasks or a task chain for approvals can be sent from Workflow.
Tasks can be generated by these events:
- Workflow
- The Process.PulseTask BOD sent by applications
- An API to create tasks
