Running the grid

The grid bootstrap service runs as the service user, which has the necessary permissions (set up during installation). When accessing the grid folder structure for write or execute access, make sure to run the process as the service user. This is important both to get the correct permissions for the access needed, but also to get the right permissions set for any new files created. On Windows, if necessary, other users can be added to the full-access. It may be necessary to log out and then in again to effectuate the new group membership.

For disaster recovery, a local administrator can modify the necessary permissions to get the required access. When the service user account has been restored, restore the permissions to those described in the installation set-up section.
