Log Archiver

The Log Archiver page enables:
  • Viewing log archives.
  • Deleting log archives.
  • Archiving logs.
  • Purging log archives.
  • Scheduling log archiving activities.

When the log archiver runs, all the logs from the stopped nodes are archived, freeing up disk space on the hosts. The log archives can either be archived, that is stored in the database, or purged. Purge the archives if the log archives no longer are needed, to reduce the size of the database.

When the log archiver runs, a notification is created. Notifications are displayed in the Home page, and in Monitoring > Notifications.

Note: Log archiving will run when you are uninstalling hosts if the archiveLogsInDatabase flag is passed to the uninstaller. For more information, see Remove an additional host.
