Canceling metadata generation

To cancel the process of generating object metadata:

  1. On the Summary page, click Cancel Generation, located below the process indicator bar.
  2. When the confirm dialog box is displayed, click Yes, Cancel Generation.
    At this time, the metadata generation process stops. Object schemas that were generated before you confirmed the cancel action are saved in Data Catalog.
  3. Click Previous to go to previous steps in the wizard to make any changes to the objects to be registered.
  4. Navigate to Step 4 and click Generate Metadata to start the process over again.
    Note: When you click Generate Metadata, object metadata is generated for all objects that have been selected. This even applies to objects for which metadata has already been generated before you canceled the initial process.
  5. After the process completes, click Close to close the wizard.
