Adding a user account

You must add a user account on the virtual machine on which you have installed the unattended mode of the RPA application. User account in a virtual machine is referred to as a Robot in RPA Management.

Note: The user account must be added before launching and configuring the Configuration Manager.
  1. Navigate to Computer Management > Local User and Groups.
  2. Click Users.
  3. Expand Users in the Actions panel on the right of the page.
  4. Click More Actions to select New User. The New User screen is displayed.
  5. Specify the new user details.
    Note: The user to be added must have the Local Administration permissions on your server.

    While Windows Server allows a wide range of characters in passwords, some characters can cause issues when accessing scripts or applications. Hence, you must avoid using these characters when creating passwords for robot logins:

    • " (double quote)
    • ' (single quote)
    • ; (semicolon)
    • & (ampersand)
    • | (pipe)
    • \ (backslash)
  6. Click Close.
