Registering the MFA device with TOTP

After Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) is enabled as the multi-factor authentication (MFA) method, you must register your device the next time you sign in to Infor OS Portal.

Before you can register the MFA device with TOTP, you must install a TOTP-compliant authenticator application on your mobile device. You can download the application from your application store. We recommend choosing Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or another application that uses security practices such as encrypted backups and biometric access.
  1. Sign in to Infor OS Portal with your username and password.
    After successful authentication, you are redirected to the MFA registration page.
  2. Specify a name to identify the registered device.
  3. Scan the QR code with the TOTP-compliant authenticator application.
    If a QR code is not supported, click Cannot scan it? to reveal the key for manual setup. Specify this key in your authenticator application.
  4. Follow the instructions in the authenticator application to receive the TOTP.
  5. Specify the TOTP in the browser.
  6. Click Continue to complete the MFA registration and sign in to Infor OS Portal.
