Adding users to the security role

Note: Only active users are displayed in security roles and functional security roles results.

To add users to the security role:

  1. On the User tab, click Add new item.
  2. Optionally, select logical IDs to assign to users in the Assign Users to Security Roles dialog box and click Next.
    Note: This option is displayed only when the security role has the Application-level Property in the Registry enabled. The logical IDs you select in the Assign Users to Security Roles dialog box are to replace the previous logical ID selections for the users. Required logical IDs are selected by default and cannot be cleared.
  3. In the Assign Users to Security Roles dialog box, search for and select a user.
  4. Click Add to add the user.
    Note: Only active users are displayed in the search results for the security role.
  5. Add additional users as required.
  6. Click Add & Close to add selected users and close the dialog box.
  7. Click Save.
    The newly added users are now displayed on the Security Roles details page.
