Multi-factor authentication
Providing secure access to web applications is essential but complex. The main challenge is to ensure that only authorized users can access sensitive resources. Standard password-only authentication has these limitations:
- It cannot fully prevent unauthorized access or mitigate evolving security threats.
- Stronger password policies alone are insufficient.
You can enhance protection with additional authentication measures, such as MFA or restricted authentication, along with standard sign-in methods. This defense-in-depth approach adds a strong layer of protection, making it significantly more difficult for attackers to gain access. You can enable MFA in Infor OS.
After you enable MFA, users must confirm their identity in two steps to sign in to Infor OS Portal. First, they provide their credentials. After the credentials are validated, users complete a second authentication step. This step is based on the MFA provider you select.
Infor OS supports these MFA providers:
- Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP)
- SMS
- FIDO2
- RSA SecurID
- Duo
Some MFA providers may require additional configuration before you can enable them for the end users.
