Configuring IDM Mobile App through MDM

The administrator can deploy profile settings using an application configuration policy. This policy applies to managed devices and the IDM application.

Most Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions support application configuration policies, for example Microsoft Intune.

  1. Prepare IDM credentials:
    1. In OS Portal, select OS > API Gateway.
    2. In the side menu, select Authorized Apps > Infor Document Management .
    3. Click Download Credentials.
    4. Open the downloaded .ionapi file in a text editor.
    5. Copy the entire JSON string from the file as the IDM credentials.
  2. Configure the application policy in Intune portal:
    1. In your MDM solution, use this string as the value for the Managed Server key.
    2. Assign the policy to the appropriate users or groups who are allowed to install the application.
  3. Set up the device:
    1. On the mobile device, install the Company Portal application.
    2. Sign in using valid Intune account credentials.
    3. Complete the device registration process.

    The IDM application installs automatically within a few minutes. On Android devices, the application is installed in the Work Profile.
