Running the transformation

To run the transformation:

  1. Click Play to run the transformation.
    If you the transformation was not saved, you are asked to save it. This action completes the initial load of data to the staging or target database.

    A Run Options dialog box is displayed to verify how the transformation must be run. The main point of interest in the options dialog box is the Log Level. It defaults to Basic, but there are several log levels to consider: Nothing, Error, Minimal, Basic, Detailed, Debug, Row Level.

  2. Click Run to run the transformation.
    After the manual run of the transformation is complete, the Step Metrics tab shows the record counts for the transformation.
  3. Click the Logging tab to show the log for the transformation run.
    This completes the creation and Running of the First Transformation.
