Updating a security profile

Data Fabric administrators can make changes to a security profile by enabling or disabling access to the Data Fabric application or, to specific pages or features.

If your access rights change while you are using the application, the changes take effect after you navigate away from the page you are currently on.

Note: The DATAFABRIC-SuperAdmin and Infor-SystemAdministrator roles have full access to Data Fabric. Their security profiles cannot be updated.
  1. Select Security.
  2. In the Security Roles panel, click the security role for which to update the security profile.
The security role details such as the name, description, and access controls are displayed.
  3. Perform any of these update actions:
    • To enable or disable access to theData Fabric application, click Enable access or Disable access respectively.

When you disable access, you temporarily remove access to Data Fabric for the security role without the need to delete its profile. When you re-enable access, all previously set access controls are restored.

If you enable access to some components, such as Data Lake or Utilities, the component card is expanded automatically to enable you to manage access to the respective pages and features.

    • To enable or disable access to specific component features, expand the component card and select or clear the check boxes for respective features.
  4. Click Save.
