Data objects
Data Lake data is stored as data objects. Data objects are
formed from the raw data that is sent and the data object properties (metadata). The raw data
object is a file with the contents that were sent by the source application.
The metadata of the objects provide information about one or more aspects of the raw data
object that help you identify and filter the data objects. For example, the object property
‘Object Name’ identifies to which Data Catalog object definition the data object belongs.
Note: The data object properties in Data Lake are not the same as the Data Catalog Object Properties that are
defined in the object's schema.
