Creating a security profile

A security profile defines the level of access to Data Fabric for an Infor security role.

Note: To ensure that users of a security role can access Data Fabric in Infor OS Portal, you must add the security role to the Permissions list for Data Fabric in Infor OS Portal. For details, see "Applications" and its subtopics from the Infor OS Portal Administration Guide. Alternatively, you can assign the DATAFABRIC-User role to all users that require access to Data Fabric. Permissions for that role are already configured in Infor OS Portal. If you assign the DATAFABRIC-User role to users, ensure that the role is granted only limited access to Data Fabric to avoid granting excess permissions to users.
  1. Select Security.
  2. Click Add role.
  3. In the Add Security Roles panel, select the roles for which to create security profiles. To search for a specific role to select, start specifying the role name in the Security Roles field.
The selected roles are displayed in the Add Security Roles panel. You can remove any of them by clicking the Delete icon in a row.
  4. Click Save.
The saved roles are displayed in the Security Roles panel. By default, they have access to the Data Fabric Home and About Data Fabric pages.
  5. To grant additional access to Data Fabric to each security role, select the role in the list and update the access level as required.
