Notification views

You can view a notification in three views: list, preview, and detail view.

List view

The list view is automatically opened when you open Notification Center. Each item in the list represents one notification and consists of these elements:

  • The notification type icon
  • The notification header

    Long titles are truncated in the list. Hover over the item to view a tooltip with the full title.

  • The date of creation

    If the item was created on the same day it is viewed, the creation time is displayed instead of the date.

  • Due date (if set)

For tasks, the Assigned or Unassigned icon is also displayed and, if applicable, the due date, the High priority icon, and the Escalation icon. If the task is overdue, the overdue time is displayed in red.

Tip: You can mark a message as complete directly in the list view. In Infor OS Portal, hover over the list item and click the Mark as read icon. In Infor Go, long-press the item and tap the Mark as read icon.

When you open Notification Center, up to 200 items are displayed. To load more items, scroll to the bottom of the list and click Load more. Notification Center loads 200 items at a time.

Preview

You can open a notification in preview to see more details. In addition to the notification information displayed in the list, you see:

  • Up to four key parameters, such as numbers, names, or links.
  • Up to two action buttons, for example Approve and Reject. The number of these buttons depends on the notification.
  • Open details
  • Close preview

To open the notification in preview, select the notification directly from the list or use a search or filter to find it.

Detail view

You can see full details about the notification in the detail view. You can open the detail view in several ways:

  • If you use Notification Center in the Smart Panel, maximize the panel to open the detail view.
  • Click Open details in the notification preview.
  • Click the banner Additional details required. To proceed, click ‘Open Details’. The banner is displayed in the preview when more information is required to complete a notification.

Elements displayed in the detail view:

  • All fields available for the item (including additional parameters not displayed in preview)
  • Full header information
  • Status indicators (the High Priority, Escalation, and Assigned or Unassigned icons)
  • All associated tags
  • All available actions (including actions restricted from preview)
