Timeline view search results for documents

Use Timeline View to trace the processing history of a document and view the events and messages associated with it.

Timeline View provides a graphical, step-by-step representation of document processing within ION.

Select Timeline View when:

  • You are searching for a specific type of document.
  • You want to determine what happened to a specific document by using its document ID.

For example, for Sales Order 123456789, you can determine:

  • How many messages were processed for the order.
  • When the order was processed by ION.
  • What happened during the processing of each message associated with the order.

Specify the document name and document ID as search criteria. The results are displayed in these stages:

  • Document results.
  • Messages for the selected document.
  • Timeline view for the selected message.
  • Drill-down to Desk pages.

If you are using an Enterprise Connector, some events shown in OneView can be generated on the Enterprise Connector host. If the Enterprise Connector host system clock is not synchronized, timestamps in OneView can be inconsistent. For example, an event can appear a few seconds earlier or later than related events, causing the timeline view or event list to appear out of order.
