Export procedure
To export a file that contains a specific entity:
- Open the menu.
- Navigate to the entity page for the models to export.
- Select the entity to export.
- Click Export.
If you select a not provisioned connection point, you can choose to drop the connection properties during export by using the confirmation dialog box.
Do not include properties when you create a generic delivery for use in other environments.
To export connection properties, click Yes.
Note:If connection properties are included in the export, Service Account values are automatically replaced with
[PASSWORD]. The export file never contains the original credential values.To use the export file for import into another environment, replace the
[PASSWORD]values with the actual plain-text credentials before importing.See Secret properties for the list of recognized secret property identifiers.
For provisioned connection points, you cannot export connection point properties.
- Depending on your browser settings, complete one of these actions:
- A dialog box is displayed to specify a file location and file name. Click Save.
- The file is saved to the default download location with the default file name.
- The selected entity is exported to the file.
Note:
Removing connection points from Data Flows.
You can remove connection points from the data flow model while preserving the documents. This is useful when you distribute template data flows and the connection points are not known in advance.
Go to the data flow detail page and click Remove connection points.
