Deprecated headers

The Encoding message header is optional and is deprecated. Earlier integrations used this header to indicate the character encoding of the message payload, but current ION message handling automatically manages encoding based on the transport and content type.

New integrations must not include the Encoding header, and existing implementations should remove it when possible. For details about this header and its legacy behavior, see Documents encoding.
