General

On the General tab you can tailor core aspects of how Infor OS Portal behaves and appears.

To access the General tab, select User menu > User Settings > General.

This table shows settings that you can manage on the General tab:

Setting Description
GenAI Onboarding Terms and Conditions Determines whether the About GenAI window is displayed after you sign in to the tenant.

Click See Terms and Conditions to view the window.

Smart Panel Icon Location Determines whether the smart panel is displayed on the top navigation bar or on the side navigation bar.
Smart Panel Size Determines whether the smart panel size is the same on all applications or specific to the application.
Note: The setting does not apply when the smart panel is expanded to full screen. When you navigate to a different application or workspace, the smart panel returns to a collapsed state.
Workspaces > Enable six column layout Enables a six-column layout in widget-only workspaces instead of the standard four column view.

The layout is dynamically aligned with screen size and resolution. The higher the screen size or resolution, the more columns are displayed.

Note: You can enable and disable the six-column layout only if the administrator enables this option.
Insight Notifications Determines how long notifications are displayed in the smart panel and widgets. You can configure the duration to be between 1 and 20 seconds when selecting the custom time.

Widgets that are contextual communicate with the main application and show relevant content when it is available. A blue dot indicator notifies you of new updates and is displayed:

  • on the widget header.
  • on the content icon when the smart panel is collapsed.
  • on the content icon when a widget with a notification is not visible.
Maintenance Determines whether the maintenance window notification is displayed each time you sign in to the tenant.
Mobile Widget View Determines the way your workspace widgets are displayed on your mobile device. You can choose from these two options:
  • Scroll up and down: Multiple widgets are displayed on one page. You can scroll up and down to navigate between widgets.
  • Swipe left and right: One widget is displayed per page. You can swipe left or right to navigate between widgets.
