• Do not auto-generate User Alias while creating users check box:
  • Enabled: The M3 User Alias value is not automatically generated. You can manually specify it when editing user or service user details. Once saved, it cannot be changed.
  • Disabled: The M3 User Alias value is automatically generated for new users.
• Do not auto-generate LN User while creating users check box:
  • Enabled: The LN User field is not automatically generated. You can manually specify it when editing user or service user details.
  • Disabled: The LN User value is automatically generated for new users using these rules:
    • First letter of the first name concatenated with up to seven characters of the last name.
    • Duplicate handling:
      • If the generated value duplicates an existing LN User, the last character is replaced with a number. For example, to avoid duplicating jjohnson, the system creates jjohnso2.
      • If the last name is shorter than seven characters and a duplicate exists, the last character is replaced with a number.
  Note: 

  • The Do not auto-generate LN User while creating users check box is displayed only when the Infor LN application is provisioned.
  • The Do not auto-generate LN User while creating users check box is cleared by default, meaning LN user values are auto-generated unless you enable this setting.
