Managing SCIM group associations

You can define associations between SCIM groups and security objects.

The available types of associations are:

  • Security roles

  • Accounting entities
  • LN user data defaults set
  • Groups (distribution groups)

Add associations to an SCIM group

  1. Select Security > Manage > SCIM Groups.
  2. Open the SCIM Group details page.
  3. Select the Security Roles, Functional Security Roles, Accounting Entities, LN User Data Defaults Set, or Groups tab.
  4. Click Add new item.
  5. Select objects to add.
  6. Click Add & Close.
  7. Click Save.

Remove associations from an SCIM group

  1. Select Security > Manage > SCIM Groups.
  2. Open the SCIM Group details page.
  3. Select objects to remove.
  4. Click Delete selected item(s).
  5. Confirm the deletion.
  6. Click Save.

Import SCIM group mappings

These requirements must be met before import:
  • The target SCIM group must already exist in the tenant.
  • All objects to be mapped (security roles, functional security roles, accounting entities, LN user data defaults, groups) must exist in the target tenant.
  • File format must be CSV only.
  • Header names must be valid (invalid headers trigger errors).
  • Mapping data must be defined for SCIM groups (empty mappings cause errors).
Note: User information is not imported, only mappings are.
  1. Select Security > Manage > SCIM Groups.
  2. Click IMPORT MAPPINGS.
  3. Select CSV file and click IMPORT.
  4. Select Security > Manage > Admin Long Running Actions to monitor progress.
    Import behavior:
    • Background job: Import runs as long-running action.
    • Existing mappings: Remain unchanged when new mappings are imported.
    • Progress tracking: Available on Admin Long Running Actions page.

Export SCIM group mappings

Note: User data is not exported, only mapping data from association tabs.
  1. Select Security > Manage > SCIM Groups.
  2. Click EXPORT ALL SCIM GROUPS if you want to export all groups.
  3. To export specific groups, select one or more groups and click Export selected item(s).
A CSV file is generated with a header row and mapping data.
