Infor OS Security roles
Security roles are collections of permissions that control access within an application or platform. Each role defines what features, data, and actions are allowed, such as viewing pages, creating or editing records, or performing administrative tasks.
A user’s assigned security roles determine exactly what they can see and do in the system. When roles are assigned to a user (directly or through a group, such as functional security roles or SCIM groups), the permissions from those roles are combined to form the user’s effective access. Adding a role expands access, removing a role restricts it, and having the right combination ensures users can perform their responsibilities without being granted unnecessary privileges.
