Multi-factor authentication
Infor OS supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) to enhance the security of user accounts. By requiring an additional verification step at sign-in, accounts are protected from unauthorized access, even if primary credentials are compromised.
MFA provides more security because standard password-only authentication has these limitations:
- It cannot fully prevent unauthorized access or mitigate evolving security threats.
- Stronger password policies alone are insufficient.
Infor OS supports these MFA providers:
- Time-based One-Time Password (TOTP)
- SMS
- FIDO2
- RSA SecurID
- Duo
Some MFA providers may require additional configuration before you can enable them for end users.
After you enable MFA, users must confirm their identity in two steps to sign in to Infor OS Portal. First, they provide their credentials. After the credentials are validated, users complete a second step based on the MFA provider that you select.
