Configuring persona in agents by functional roles

You can customize agent behavior through persona selection.

The system adapts responses based on the user’s functional security role. A single agent can serve multiple roles without separate configurations.

For example, a warehouse manager can view limited purchase order data. A procurement manager can view full pricing details. The system restricts access based on role permissions and adapts agent behavior based on the requesting user.

  1. Select Factory > Agents.
  2. Select the agent name in the agent list view.
  3. In the agent editor, select Permissions > Functional Roles.
  4. Specify values in the functional roles field to assign roles to the agent.
  5. Click Save.
    When you invoke the agent with a matching role, the GenAI Assistant loads the associated skills, context, and tool routing for that persona. If no persona configuration matches, the agent uses the default configuration.
