Symphony security role limits
When you assign security roles at the Symphony level, you can assign a maximum of fifteen roles for each permission type, such as Who can Edit/View and Who can Execute.
The role limit is enforced independently for each permission type. You can assign up to fifteen roles for edit or view and up to fifteen roles for execute.
To prevent invalid configurations, the user interface enforces the limit during role selection:
- When the maximum number of roles is reached for a permission type, the button is disabled.
- When fewer than fifteen roles are selected, the button remains enabled.
This validation ensures that Symphony security settings are valid and that Symphonies can be saved, approved, and activated without errors.
