Configure on-error mapping

  1. Go to Enterprise Orchestrator > Symphonies.
  2. Select the Symphony and the version you want to edit.
  3. Select the activity that may throw an error.
  4. Click the On-Error tab on the activity.
  5. Set the error-handling target state:
    1. From the list, select the state to transition to, if an error occurs.
    2. Locate the list under the Alternative Flow selector.
  6. Visualize the error path:
    • The throwing and receiving icons are highlighted in red to indicate the mapping context.
    • A number appears below each icon to indicate the connection.

These visual cues distinguish error flows from standard transitions.

  7. Click the Error (throwing) icon on the selected activity to open the On-Error panel and see the throwing and receiving icons highlighted in red.
Note: If you click the receiving icon, the highlights are not available.
  8. Save and validate the configuration.

Ensure the error path is correctly mapped.

Confirm that the target state exists and is reachable.

Verify that no circular or disconnected paths are introduced.
