Resume a Symphony execution

Restart a previously failed, timed out, or stopped Symphony in Enterprise Orchestrator from the point of interruption.

You can resume a Symphony only if the status is Failed, Timed Out, or Stopped. You can not resume a Symphony with the Completed or In Progress status.

Use the RESUME option within 15 days of the execution end time.

Resuming executions is available only to users with the EO-EXECUTOR security role.

  1. Go to Enterprise Orchestrator > Executions and locate the Symphony execution you want to resume.
  2. Double click the Symphony row to open the Execution Details page.
  3. Check for the RESUME button.

    The RESUME button id displayed only if the Symphony status is:

    • Failed
    • Timed Out
    • Stopped
  4. Click RESUME.

    The Symphony restarts from the point where it stopped. After resuming, the button changes to STOP allowing you to cancel the execution if necessary.

    Postrequisites:

    Ensure the issue that caused the execution to stop is resolved before resuming. This includes fixing any configuration or validation errors.
