Configure an input variable value

  1. Go to Enterprise Orchestrator > Symphonies.
  2. Select the Symphony you want to edit.
  3. Open the specific Symphony version you want to modify.
  4. Select the activity on the Symphony canvas.
    Open the Input tab in the properties panel at the bottom of the interface.
  5. Open the Input tab in the properties panel at the bottom of the interface.
    The input tab shows these elements:
    • Variable Name
    • Variable Type
    • Value Type
    • Value
    Note: When you open the activity’s Input tab for the first time, the Value Type and the Value fields are blank.
  6. Click the Pencil icon to edit the variable.
    The Select a Variable Reference dialog box appears.
  7. Populate the input fields using these options:
    Direct value
    Relates to the Value field. It must comply with the variable type.
    Symphony Variable
    The list of all configured Symphony variables that match the variable type.
    Activity Output
    The list of activities that you can choose as the preceding activity. The activities contain the variable values that match the variable type.
  8. Click Apply.
    You can continue editing or approve the Symphony once all validations succeed.
