Deleting a Symphony variable

Delete a Symphony variable to remove unused or obsolete variables from the Symphony configuration.

Deleting variables helps to maintain clarity and reduces the potential for execution errors caused by unused or mismatched references.

Caution: Deleting a Symphony variable permanently removes it and all references to it. Any activities, state conditions, flows, or workflows that depend on the variable may fail, route incorrectly, or cause the Symphony to become unstable.

Always verify that a variable is no longer used before deleting it.

  1. Go to Symphonies.
  2. Select the Symphony you want to modify.
  3. Open the Variables tab.
This tab displays all defined Symphony-level variables.
  4. Select the variable you want to delete.
Check the box next to the variable name to select it.
  5. Click the Delete button to remove the selected variable.
  6. Click Save.
