Backend security

The following sections describe backend security, which refers to the security mechanisms implemented on the target API server in addition to the OAuth 2.0 inbound security provided by ION API Gateway. These mechanisms control access, validate requests, protect backend services, and support secure integration with external systems and operational requirements compliance.
