Utilizing canvas with GenAI Assistant

Canvas introduces a split-view workspace panel that appears alongside the GenAI Assistant chat session. This panel is displayed when the GenAI Assistant generates structured content such as documents, charts, reports, or tables.

When you invoke an Agent that provides structured output, the GenAI Assistant provides a clickable card that shows a preview of the generated content. Selecting the preview splits the screen into two panels:

• GenAI Assistant conversation
• Canvas panel with structured content

These content types can be displayed:

• Documents: Formatted text with sections and headings.
• Tables: Paginated data grids that you can scroll through.
• Charts: Visual data representations including bar, column, line, pie, and donut charts.
