Configure connection properties

Use this procedure to configure the connection between the AMQP connection point and the messaging broker. The configuration on the Connection tab varies depending on the selected SASL authentication mechanism.

  1. Open the AMQP connection point.
  2. Open the Connection tab.
  3. Specify this information:

    Connection parameters:

    Host
    Specify the host name or IP address of the AMQP broker.
    Port
    Specify the port used by the AMQP broker.
    Enable TLS encryption
    Select this option to use TLS encryption. This field is selected by default. You can clear it when using the Plain SASL mechanism, but it is required for the External mechanism.

    Select one of these SASL authentication mechanisms:

    Mechanism Required fields TLS behavior
    Plain Broker username and password Recommended. The TLS option remains editable.
    External Import & Trust Certificate, Import Client Certificate, and SSL Client Keystore Password Required. TLS is selected by default and is read-only.
    Anonymous No credentials are required. Optional. TLS is cleared by default and is read-only.

    Producer settings:

    Default Queue Address
    Specify the default queue used to write messages. This field is required.
    Parallel senders
    Specify the number of parallel senders. Valid values are 1–10. The default value is 1.
    Delivery Mode
    This field is preset to At least once and is read-only.

    Consumer settings:

    Default Queue Address
    Specify the default queue used to read messages. This field is required.
  4. Click Test to validate the connection.

    Ensure that the AMQP broker is running and reachable from the Enterprise Connector location before testing the connection.
