Standard insights
Standard insights provide predefined content that helps users get started. You can enable and disable the Standard Insights feature in Widget Settings.
Standard insights are managed by Infor and cannot be created, edited, or deleted in the administration tool. However, you can:
- Create and publish a copy of a standard insight to customize it.
- Control access to a standard insight by assigning permissions to users, roles, and functional roles.
Note: Changes to the permissions of a standard insight affect all users and applications that use that insight.
Infor may publish updated versions of standard insights at any time. To not receive updates to a standard insight, create and publish a copy of the insight. Published copies can be edited independently of the original standard insight.
On the Standard Insights page, you can:
- Search, sort, and filter the list of insights.
- Update the list of insights to include the latest changes from the registry.
- Use the static toolbar in the menu to perform actions that are available for all insights.
- Use the expanded toolbar in the menu to perform actions available for selected insights. The toolbar is dynamically aligned to the selected insights.
When one or more filters are in use, There are active filters is displayed at the bottom of the list next to a option, available for deactivating the filters.

| View Details | Shows information about the insight such as:

| Update | Updates the selected insight to the latest available version. |
| Shows the permissions for the selected insight. You can remove, add, and edit permissions. | |
| Copies all permissions for the selected insights to the clipboard. | |
| Adds the permissions from the clipboard and updates the values for existing security roles and users without removing existing entries. | |
| Clears any existing permissions and adds the permissions from the clipboard. | |
| Restores permissions to the selected insight to their default value. | |
| Removes all permissions for the selected insight. The insight becomes available in the Insights Catalog, and all users can add the insight. | |
| Publish as copy | Copies the content and configuration of the standard insight to a new published insight. |
| Publish to existing | Replaces the content and configuration of the selected published insight with the content and configuration of the standard insight. |
| Deactivate/Activate | Activates or deactivates a standard insight. Standard insights with the Deactivated status are not available in Infor OS Portal to any users, including administrators. When you reactivate an insight, you must reconfigure all permissions.
