Push notifications
Push notifications appear as app-level alerts, while the Notification Center stores and organizes notifications within Infor Mobile Hub.
Availability and requirements
Push notifications are available when notification permissions are enabled for the application and the signed-in user has access to the Notification Center.
App-level notification permissions must be enabled on your device. If notifications are disabled in your device settings, push notifications are not delivered.
An active internet connection is required to receive push notifications.
App-level permissions
When you first open Infor Mobile Hub, your device prompts you to allow notifications. Device settings control whether notifications are displayed.
Enabling or disabling notifications in Profile Settings does not override app-level restrictions.
Manage app notification permissions in your app settings.
Notification delivery behavior
Push notifications are received when Infor Mobile Hub is open, running in the background, or closed.
Notifications are delivered to all devices where the user is signed in and has an active session.
When a task, alert, or notification is completed by any user, the associated push notification is silently cleared from all devices that received it. This behavior applies to devices with multiple active sessions of the same user as well as devices belonging to other users who are part of the workflow. If the completion occurs while a device is offline, the push notification is cleared when the device reconnects to the network. This feature works consistently on Android and iOS devices.
Actionable Notifications
The actionable notifications help you to take action without opening the app. You can approve or reject requests, view the details, or open a specific screens inside an application. To get notifications you must meet these requirements:
- You must be logged in.
- Notifications must be enabled.
- Your admin must enable push messages.
Notification types
These are types of the actionable notifications:
- Standard: Simple message, for example Tap to open.
- ION notification: From the ION API workflows, for example Tap to open related app screen.
- Rich notification: Includes preview fields and action buttons.
Rich notifications show:
- Title and message
- Preview details, for example, employee name, or request date
- Up to five action buttons
- Drill back links to open a specific screen
These are types of the action buttons:
- : Opens the app and jumps straight to the correct page.
- : Performs a task instantly without opening the app, for example, approving a request directly from the notification. After the task is finished, you get a follow‑up message that is based on the workflow configuration: Action completed successfully.

Selecting a push notification
Selecting a push notification opens Infor Mobile Hub and redirects you to the Notification Center.
If the application is closed when you select the notification, you must authenticate before viewing the notification details.
Push notifications are received only when the signed-in user has access to the Notification Center.
When push notifications are not delivered
Push notifications are not delivered if app notification permissions are disabled on your device or if the signed-in user does not have access to the Notification Center.
Network connectivity issues can also prevent notification delivery.
Review Profile Settings and app notification permissions if notifications are not received.
Best practices
Enable notifications in your device settings to receive alerts.
Keep Infor Mobile Hub updated to ensure reliable notification delivery.
Verify that the correct profile is active when responding to a notification.
Contact your administrator if expected notifications are not received.
If an administrator revokes your session and you select a previously received push notification, the application opens and displays a Session terminated message. Clicking signs you out of the application.
