IDM Document Viewer
IDM Document Viewer is a feature which helps users to view IDM related documents within the app through a link or a drill back. IDM Document Viewer displays document details, previews documents, opens multiple file types, and shows metadata and attributes.
You can open the Document Viewer from these places:
- a navigation menu of an app
- a link
- a notification pointing to a specific document
Every document list shows a thumbnail, a name, and a last modified date. When you tap a document, you can see these details:
- Preview: When you tap it, the entire document opens up.
- Properties: They include type, ID, modified or created info, file size.
- Attributes: Custom metadata specific to your organization.
Document Viewer opens PDF formats in built‑in viewer with a zoom and a navigation. Other formats are opened using apps installed on your device, for example, Word, Excel, or image viewer.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |

| No documents | Check network or IDM permissions |
| Preview missing | File has no preview, use full download |
| PDF doesn't open | Check if is password‑protected |
| Non‑PDF won’t open | Install a supporting app |
| Viewer missing | IDM may not be enabled, you must contact an admin |
