Back navigation and pull-to-refresh in Service Applications

Back navigation

Infor Mobile Hub Service Applications supports back navigation using back button and native swipe gestures.

The Back button is displayed within Service Applications to show the user’s navigation to previous page and navigate to previously visited page. The Back button navigation follows the existing page history. Display of the Back button is completely designed by Service Applications on which the native mobile application do not have any control.

You can use a left‑to‑right swipe gesture instead of the Back button wherever it is displayed to navigate back and is handled by the native mobile application. When a swipe is detected, the Service Applications sends a back navigation request to the native app, which determines whether back navigation is possible based on the current navigation stack. If no previous page exists, no navigation occurs.

Back-swipe gestures are disabled for full‑screen modals and do not interfere with in‑screen interactions or controls.

Back navigation from landmark to Workspace

When you launch the Unified Application from a Workspace launch link, the Back button in the Unified Application navigates you back to the Workspace. The transition preserves the user session and context. The Workspace loads without errors or blank screens. This behavior ensures a seamless and predictable navigation flow between the Unified Application and the Workspace.

Pull‑to‑Refresh

Infor Mobile Hub supports pull‑to‑refresh on the Service Applications page. It helps users to reload application data without restarting the app.

Pull‑to‑refresh is enabled only for service applications including its workspaces. When a user performs a pull‑down gesture, the application retries loading its data and gets the latest available content.

A standard loading indicator is displayed while the refresh is in progress. If the refresh operation fails, existing error handling behavior remains unchanged.

This interaction provides a simple and consistent way to recover from load failures or stale data conditions within Service Applications.
