Configuring passkey authentication
Overview
Passkey authentication enables users to sign in to Infor Mobile Hub using a device-bound credential instead of a password. Passkeys use cryptographic authentication tied to a device, which reduces the risk of credential theft and eliminates the need for users to remember passwords.
Before users can sign in using a passkey, administrators must enable passkey authentication in the Infor OS Portal Cloud Identities settings. For instructions, see Enabling Passkey authentication.
Adding users
When a user is added to the Infor OS Portal environment, a registration email is sent automatically. Users must have the Suite_User role to sign in and can choose to register using a passkey.
User registration process
During registration, the user opens the link from the registration email and selects .
The user selects , enables Bluetooth, scans the QR code displayed on the registration screen, and completes the registration steps on the device.
The user then assigns a name for the passkey in the browser.
Handling passkey registration
To register for a passkey, use the Forgot Password option to start a password reset. After the reset email is received, select passkey registration instead of resetting the password.
Users can repeat the password reset process to register additional devices.
