Connectivity and security

Stream Pipelines initiates outbound connections from Infor-published IP ranges to the destination endpoint that the destination configuration specifies. All connections use TLS 1.3 or later to encrypt data in transit.

Stream Pipelines uses JDBC to connect to PostgreSQL and SQL Server destinations. Stream Pipelinesuse Snowpipe Streaming to connect to Snowflake destinations. TLS encryption applies to both connection methods.

The destination host name must be accessible from the published Stream Pipelines outbound IP ranges. The destination host name must accept inbound connections, and DNS resolution must succeed for the destination host name. For a list of outbound IP addresses, see the Pipelines IP address reference.

Destination credentials — passwords for PostgreSQL and SQL Server, and private keys for Snowflake — are stored encrypted. Credentials are not included when a destination is exported or copied. When importing a destination or creating a copy, you must enter the credential before the destination can be used.
