Deployment behavior

IDP uses the Major.Minor.Patch versioning model:

  • You can create and manage major versions and minor versions in the source tenant or editor tenant.

  • You can package major versions and minor versions and deploy the versions through Global Packages.

  • You cannot modify deployed major versions or minor versions in the target tenant.

  • You can create patch versions in the target tenant. Patch versions are available for editable packages.

For example:

  • 1.0.0 – Major
  • 1.1.0 – Minor
  • 1.0.1 – Patch
