Overview
The Global Packages functionality allows for application content and configurations to be deployed onto a target tenant from Self-Service Portal. This guide goes over the details of how to be able to deploy a Global Package with Infor Document Management content.
You can only add the resources to global packages namespace through the user interface. The Document Management global package may contain these content items:
- Document Type
- Value Set
- Business Context Model
- Retention Policy
- Output Template
- Email Template
The Document Management global package may contain these configuration items:
- ION Configuration
- Language
- Mime Type
All configurations are added on all resources basis or an instance filtering basis, that is based on dependencies on content contained within in the global package.
Note: Remember that:
- Document Management Global packages do not support the Print and Signature functionalities.
- The global packages resources are not allowed through the Import/Export APIs in Document Management.
- Global packages are not supported for private spaces.
Note: Starting with the 2026.10 release, IDM does not support these configuration types:
- Result List
- Document Type Filter
- Saved Search
