Deployment

Before you deploy a global package, verify that these prerequisites are met:

Enable the Global Packages capability in the target environment through Feature Enablement in CSSP.
Deploy all dependent global packages to the target tenant before you deploy the package.
To deploy the package, you must have the IDM-Administrator role.

First deployment of an editable package

When you deploy an editable global package to a target tenant for the first time, Document Management(IDM) creates two instances of each resource in the package:

A live (working) instance, which is the customer-owned copy that you can configure and use.
A reference template instance, which is a read-only, system-owned copy that represents the Infor-delivered baseline.

IDM creates both instances with the content that the package delivers. After deployment, changes to the live instance do not affect the reference template instance.

Subsequent deployment of an editable package

When you deploy an editable global package to a target tenant again, IDM overwrites the reference template instance with the content from the latest package version.

IDM does not change the live instance. The live instance continues to operate with its existing configuration.
